Bryan Stark


Bryan brings a wealth of strategic planning, branding, digital, and integrated marketing communications management expertise to Azer from a wide range of cause marketing, healthcare, hospitality, media, and non-profit organizations. With more than 24 years in the marketing trenches, he has served in senior marketing and leadership roles creating award-winning programs for clients such as the National Geographic Society, InterContinental Hotels, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Preakness Celebration, Puerto Rico Tourism, Kennedy Krieger Insitute, and Special Olympics International.

Bryan holds dual degrees in Marketing and Journalism from Duquesne University and completed post-graduate work at the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY. Bryan volunteers with a number of civic and nonprofit organizations addressing public health, hunger, and housing issues in the community. In addition to his board work, Bryan is the past chair of the mayor’s LGBT Task Force in Baltimore, and recipient of the LGBT Community Leadership Award from the University of Baltimore.

James Neal

Creative Director

Jim has over 23 years of design experience with 17 years in the Washington D.C. community. After graduating from the university of Kentucky college of architecture he put his talents into a life-long career of design – all types of design.

His career has covered everything from architecture to smart phone application design. Re-branding the Washington Blade and reinvigorating RunWashington have been his recent enjoyments.

Jim brings with him an intense passion for quality design with attention to the small details that create results.

Stephen Rutgers

Marketing Director/Project Manager

As project manager, Stephen brings a notable skill set of event planning, sales and community marketing to all of Azer’s projects.

He has a master’s degree from the George Washington University in event planning and marketing. He has worked as operations manager for a D.C. advertising agency and as a coordinator for the Greater Washington Sports Alliance where he worked in sponsorship sales for the National Marathon.

In addition, he co-founded and served as vice president of the Urban Neighborhood Alliance, a non-profit that worked to bridge gaps between residents and businesses in the city.

He is also co-founder of the annual Street Festival in Dupont Circle. In these roles he has helped market and raised thousands of dollars for local D.C. non-profits.

Monica Bautista


Monica’s experience in multiple fields covers copywriting, information architecture, media strategy, website and graphic design.

She has worked with large and small clients to define their identity and develop strategic campaigns. She utilizes current media platforms to create client brands and position them first within their industry.

Her approach to design has the passion to communicate the client’s core values through strong aesthetics.
